1. Who we are

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), [LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME] is the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this website.
2. What data we collect
Currently: nothing. This website is in pre-launch mode. The sign-up form visible on the homepage is for demonstration purposes only. Any information typed into the form is not saved, not transmitted to any third party, and not processed in any way. Nothing submitted through the form is stored.
When the sign-up form is activated — which will be announced here before it happens — we will collect the following from buyers:
- Your email address (required)
- Your first name (optional, used only to personalise the confirmation email)
- Your shopping category preference (optional, used to tailor the launch notification)
When the seller registration form is activated, we will additionally collect from sellers:
- Your name and the name of your business
- Your business type and the category you sell in
- An optional indication of your monthly turnover range
We will not collect your phone number, date of birth, physical address, payment information, or any government-issued identification at the pre-launch stage.
This section will be updated to reflect what is collected before any data collection begins.
3. Why we collect it — purpose limitation
No data is currently collected, so there is no current use to describe.
When the sign-up form becomes active, email addresses will be collected for one purpose only: to send a single launch notification when EconomyStore.in opens to the public.
If you register as a potential seller when that form is active, your details will be used to contact you about seller onboarding before the platform opens to the public.
We will not use your data for advertising, profiling, third-party marketing, or any purpose other than the one stated at the time of collection without your separate and explicit consent.
4. How your data is stored
Currently: no data is stored. No personal data is collected, transmitted, or held by EconomyStore.in or any third party. The sign-up form is in preview mode only.
When the sign-up form is activated, we will use third-party processors to manage the sign-up list and deliver confirmation emails. Before activating the form, we will:
- Name the specific processors in this section
- Enter into Data Processing Agreements with each processor
- Confirm that all data is transmitted over HTTPS
- Ensure processors outside India have adequate safeguards in place
This section will be fully rewritten before data collection begins. If you are reading this before seeing a list of named processors above, data collection has not yet started.
5. Cross-border data transfers
No cross-border data transfers are currently occurring. No data is being collected or sent outside India or to any third party.
When the sign-up form is activated, some processors may be located outside India. We will disclose each processor's name and location, and the safeguards in place, before data collection begins. We will update this section accordingly.
6. How long we keep your data
No data is currently held, so no retention policy is currently in effect.
When data collection begins, the following retention periods will apply:
- Unconfirmed sign-ups (where the form is submitted but the confirmation link in the email is not clicked) will be automatically deleted after 30 days.
- Confirmed sign-ups will be retained until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or the platform launches and the waitlist is migrated to our main service.
- If EconomyStore.in does not launch within 24 months of the date you signed up, all waitlist data will be deleted and you will be notified by email.
7. Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023
As no personal data is currently held, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete at this time. If you have contacted us by email, see §12 for how to request deletion of that correspondence.
When data collection begins, you will have the following rights as a Data Principal under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:
- Right to access — you may request a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to correction — you may request that inaccurate or incomplete data be corrected.
- Right to erasure — you may request that your personal data be deleted from our systems. We will complete erasure within 30 days of a valid request.
- Right to withdraw consent — you may withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by writing to us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
- Right to grievance redressal — if you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you may raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer.

This website does not currently use any analytics tools. No cookies are set by this website. No visitor behaviour is collected or tracked.

10. Children's data
This website is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us at privacy@economystore.in and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our data practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. For significant changes, we will notify confirmed subscribers by email.
